Temperatures move up along with the humidity for the rest of the week, which will ultimately lead to afternoon rain chances back in the forecast.
Under a mostly sunny sky, high temperatures will reach the lower 80s in the mountains and upper 80s in the Upstate with just a SLIGHT chance at an afternoon shower in western North Carolina.
Thursday won’t be quite as warm, but still seasonal with lower to middle 80 degree highs and slightly higher humidity. That cranks up more by Friday and will stick around for the weekend which will allow for pop-up afternoon thunderstorms to develop.
There will only be a couple on Friday, but those chances and coverage will gradually increase Saturday into Sunday to where they’ll be spotty to scattered, especially in the mountains.
That type of weather will continue into next week too, however, at this point it's safe to say that no day appears to be an all-day washout.
