Deputies: Suspect in custody after barricading himself inside home following domestic situation

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

 The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said a suspect has been taken into custody after he barricaded himself inside a home.  

Per deputies, they responded to the call on the 1100 block of Haynesworth Road.

The call came in around 5:30  p.m.

Deputies say the incident stemmed from a domestic related situation.

SWAT and multiple deputies surrounded the home. 

At this time, the victim of the domestic incident is in a safe location.

Deputies identified the suspect as 56-year-old Gary Allen Stokes. He was charged with first degree domestic violence and kidnapping, per warrants.

Stokes appeared in bond court Friday morning and was arraigned on a $60,000 bond. The judge ordered him to have no contact with the victim.
