UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union County deputies are investigating after two puppies were reported stolen from the Union County Animal Shelter.

Deputies said an Animal Control officer called to report the dogs missing on Thursday.

The two pit bull puppies were last seen in separate pens on June 1 at the shelter on Jonesville Highway. When the officer returned to work on June 5, the puppies were gone.

The animal control officer had no idea who may have taken the pups.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
