Wyoming police find burned car belonging to Asheville woman missing since May

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Asheville Police Department is asking for help locating a woman who has been missing since May.

Officers said 59-year-old Tamara Ann Gibson was last seen May 23 at Barltett Arms Apartments. On June 1, her vehicle was found by the Laramie Police Department in Wyoming and it had been damaged by fire.

She is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair. She is known to frequent AHOPE, Haywood Street Congregation Methodist Church and areas of Tunnel Road and Patton Avenue.

Asheville Police are working in coordination with Laramie Police on the case.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Asheville PD at 828-252-1110.
