Hot and muggy weather with spotty to scattered thunderstorms will dominant over the next week.
The rest of the day will bring sunshine and highs in the middle to upper 80s before showers and a few thunderstorms develop early in the afternoon in the mountains, which will then move south into the Upstate later on.
The majority of the rain will take place in the mountains with only a few leftover showers in the Upstate.
Whatever is left by Sunday evening should be all dried up by 10 PM Sunday.
Monday will bring scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon across both regions which will mark one of our rainier days of the week by comparison.
Clouds will thicken during the daytime a bit more from Tuesday into Wednesday, which will scale highs back into the lower and middle 80s.
Spotty afternoon storms remain possible through the end of next week and into next weekend, but at the very least the sun should shine a bit brighter Wednesday onward when it isn’t raining outside.
