CLINTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Voters in Laurens County will have a chance Monday to have coffee with several candidates who will appear on the ballot during the statewide primary election.

The Candidates, Coffee & Conversation event will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Vestibule Coffee & Tea, located at 310B East Carolina Avenue in Clinton,

Organizers said the following candidates will be attending:

  • Jeff Duncan, US Congressman Incumbent (schedule permitting)
  • Alan Wilson, Incumbent SC Attorney General
  • Josh Putnam, SC Secretary of State candidate
  • Mike Pitts, SC House of Representatives Incumbent
  • Mark Willis, SC House of Representatives Incumbent
  • Stewart Jones, Laurens County Council District 4 Incumbent
  • Dale Mitchell, Laurens County Council District 5 Candidate
  • Jeff Carroll, Laurens County Council District 5 Candidate
  • Doug Gilliam, SC House District 42 Candidate (invitation extended)
  • Phillip Russell, SC House District 42 Candidate (invitation extended)

The event is sponsored by conservative political activist Brenda Stewart of Stewart Marketing & Consulting, according to a news release.

South Carolina’s statewide primary election will be on Tuesday.
