Fire Chief: Home destroyed after early morning fire in Boiling Springs

BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Boiling Springs Fire Chief Scott Miller said a home was destroyed after a fire early Wednesday morning. 

The fire happened around 2:00 a.m. at a home on Slate Drive. Chief Miller said two adults and five children were home at the the time of the fire. 

According to Chief Miller, all seven occupants were able to escape the home safely and were not injured. 

When crews arrived on scene, the fire was fully involved, Miller said. 

Two homes next to the residence were damaged, but the fire did not spread to them, Chief Miller said. 

According to Chief Miller, the fire is not suspicious. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
