EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office said social media reports about man intentionally exposing himself on Doodle Trail are unfounded.

Deputies were called to the Doodle Trail near Rice Road in Easley on Tuesday night in reference to a suspicious person.

According to the sheriff's office, a woman riding a bicycle said the person tired to speak with her, but she could not understand him due a language barrier. A short time later, deputies said the woman saw the man standing on the side of the trail and urinating towards the wooded area.

The sheriff's office said the woman was able to flag down an SC State Trooper to report the incident. Deputies said the man stated he did not have access to a restroom and no one was around.

According to deputies, a judge stated the activity did not meet the requirements for a criminal violation of indecent exposure because the man did not have "willful and malicious intent to offend others."

The sheriff's office said the man was not under the influence of alcohol or any other drug.

Deputies said they have not received any other reports of similar activity on the Doodle Trail.
