SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating after two people in Spartanburg returned from a weekend getaway on Sunday and discovered their home had been broken into.

Spartanburg police said were called to a home on Charlesworth Avenue around 7 p.m. and met with the victims.

Police said someone broke a windowpane on the back door to break in and cleaned most of the electronics in the house.

The thieves made off with two TVs, a MacBook, an iPhone, and some studio equipment, the police report states.

The victims advised that they had posted on Facebook about leaving for the weekend. That post came a few days after posting photos of dollar bills scattered through the house for a child’s birthday.

Police said they were able to lift some finger and palm prints, but no suspects have been named.
