WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office reported an arrest of a Franklin Co. woman on a charge of trafficking methamphetamine on Sunday night.

Deputies said they were notified of a white Ford Transit van that was involved in a pursuit in Rabun County, GA on Sunday afternoon. A traffic stop was then initiated to stop the van near the intersection of Chattanooga Ridge Road and Whetstone Road.

However, the van would not stop and a pursuit began that eventually ended at the Georgia/South Carolina line, per deputies.

The deputy said he was able to place the driver into custody and began to search the vehicle. While searching the van, the deputy discovered a back pack which contained a case of methamphetamine inside.

According to the report, 26-year-old Sally Louise English was booked into the Oconee Co. Detention Center around 6:43 p.m. English was also charged with failure to stop for a blue light in relation to a pursuit.

At this time, English remains in custody on a combined $45,000 surety bond, per the report.
