Another scorcher today, but SOME relief comes toward the week's end in the form of slightly cooler air and better rain chances.
It's another day almost identical to Tuesday – plenty hot and humid with dangerous heat for much of the day. Highs soar back into the 90s with a small chance of afternoon rain and storms.
A cold front will approach the area Thursday and allow for more cloud cover to form, which will help lower highs into the middle 80s to lower 90s. It will also trigger a few more afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
The best chance for these will be on Friday as the front moves toward our area, which will also be when high temperatures drop into the lower and upper 80s. A few stronger storms will be possible as the front passes through.
The weekend looks to bring lower rain chances and higher heat levels ahead of a slightly better rain chance toward Monday.
Tuesday looks brighter, drier & “cooler” with highs in the lower and middle 80s.
