The weekend promises to bring increasing heat levels and decreasing storm chances.
Today will be warm and muggy with some sun and highs around 90 degrees in the Upstate. A few storms remain possible this afternoon but will be more spotty than last night's. Any storms that do form also have the off chance at producing heavy rain and gusty wind.
The best chance for any rain (again not for everyone) would be after 4 PM.
Sunday will bring a similar chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms with highs a bit warmer in the lower and middle 90s.
Next week looks to follow a traditional summertime pattern – hot and humid with spotty afternoon rain chances each day. The coverage isn’t expected to be overly widespread, but the prospects of “nicer” feeling air look to be decreasing for now.
