Thunderstorms remain possible this evening and continue to pose a threat for isolated damaging wind, hail and localized flash flooding.
Expect strong to severe storms to remain possible through 10 PM across much of the area, most notably for areas in north/northeast Georgia and areas of WNC/Upstate west of I-26. After 10 PM, the storms should have either weakened below severe limits or moved out of the area.
Wednesday will present yet another stormy afternoon as this potent system makes its final push through the area.
That will mean scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening in both the mountains and Upstate and could once again produce damaging wind gusts, hail and localized flash flooding.
Once this system moves out, hotter days will take over on Thursday with highs reaching the middle 90s through this weekend and early next week.
It will also be a lot drier by comparison with only isolated afternoon shower and storm chances during this stretch.
