HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Henderson County deputies said a man was charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a home on DuPont Estates Drive Tuesday night.

Deputies said they were called to the home just after 9 p.m. and located the victim. She was identified as Laura Cox.

Cox died as a result of injuries from an edged weapon, according to deputies.

Deputies detained Terry Jason Brank, 35, who lives at the home. He was later charged with first-degree murder. They said Brank and Cox had dated on and off over the last few years.

“Deputies have responded to this location numerous times in the past for domestic related calls for service,” Captain Frank Stout said in an email.

Bank is being held in the Henderson County jail an $800,000 secured bond.
