Police investigating after man shot twice in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating a shooting Thursday night in Spartanburg. 

Officers said they responded to Highland Avenue in reference to shots fired around 7:15 p.m. When they arrived on scene, police were unable to locate a victim. 

A man arrived at the hospital with two gunshot wounds a short time later, officers said. The victim suffered gunshot wounds on his right forearm and his lower back. 

He is currently in stable condition. 

Police said the suspect is a male who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The suspect left the scene in a blue  2010-2013 Dodge Durango or some type of SUV, officers said.
