Storm chances stick around for the rest of the week, but will likely increase toward the weekend.
Early morning clouds will slowly break up, staying dry for the early commute. Temperatures start the day in the 60s to low 70s.
Today will likely be quieter than yesterday, though a few showers and storms remain possible in the afternoon. High temperatures still push up into the 80s to low 90s.
Friday and into the weekend, isolated to scattered storms become a bit more likely. As usual for a summer day, the best timing for these storms will be from about 1-9 PM, and the coverage will be scattered. Highs drop off just a bit with the increased rain chances, to the upper 80s Upstate and low 80s in the mountains.
After more scattered storms on Monday, some drier weather is expected by Tuesday and Wednesday. For now, afternoon highs should stay in the 80s – a nice reprieve from the more intense heat of late!
