The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a shooting in Toccoa that left an 18-year-old dead Wednesday afternoon.

According to the bureau, the shooting was reported around 1:40 p.m. on South Alexander Street. On Thursday, GBI agents identified the victim as Joel Keshon Green, 18, of Toccoa.

GBI agents assisted the Toccoa Police Department along with Georgia State Patrol, the Stephens County Sheriff's Office and the Appalachian Drug Enforcement Office with the homicide investigation.

On Friday, GBI identified two murder suspects in the case as 21-year-old Kentavius Broudmain Walker and 23-year-old Ty'Jai Trammel. They are each charged with malice murder and felony murder.

Agents said Walker was also charged in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old in Toccoa earlier this year.

According to officials, the teenager was shot multiple times on July 26 on Prather's Bridge Road. He was hospitalized as a result of his injuries. Walker is charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.

Another teen was also charged in connection with the 17-year-old's shooting injuries.
