CVS nasal decongestant recalled by manufacturer over bacteria concerns

Product Quest Manufacturing is issuing a voluntary nationwide recall of CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist Due to microbiological contamination. 

The product is a nasal decongestant and is packaged in a 0.5 fluid ounce bottle.  The affected CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist lot is Lot # 173089J, EXP 09/19.

16,896 units were released with UPC code 50428432365

If you have the affected nasal spray being recalled you should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase or throw it away. 

Product Quest has stated that repetitive use of a nasal spray containing a contamination can lead to infections which can be life threatening in certain patient populations.

To date Product Quest has received no reports of sickness related to this recall.
