Drivers will see detours on I-85/ Woodruff Road starting Friday, through weekend

The SC DOT said drivers will see a new round of ramp closings and detours starting Friday night and lasting through the weekend at the I-85/I-385 interchange.

I-85 North Exit 51 A-C, which includes access to Woodruff Road, I-385 northbound and I-385 southbound, will be closed from Friday at 10 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m. 

Both on-ramps to I-85 North from Woodruff Road will be closed as well.

Crews will be repaving the ramps and collector/distributor lanes during this time.

DETOUR ROUTE:

I-85 North drivers will be directed to Exit 56 (SC 14) where they will turn back onto I-85 South.  I-85 South drivers will be able to access I-385 in either direction.

Woodruff Road drivers traveling west will be directed to continue on Woodruff Road to Roper Mountain Road, where they can access I-385

Drivers on Woodruff Road heading east will continue to I-385 and can access I-85 North as normal.
