Asheville police ask for help identifying pair of armed robbers

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Asheville Police Department has asked for help identifying two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Oakley Food Store.

The robbery happened just after 11 p.m. on August 7 at the store on Fairview Road.

Police said two suspects entered the store, pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded the contents of the register.  The suspects were fully covered in dark clothing. They fled on foot toward Onteora Boulevard.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Asheville-Buncombe Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.
