FOR NORTHERN HABERSHAM...RABUN...MACON AND SOUTH CENTRAL SWAIN
COUNTIES...

At 352 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 miles southwest of Bryson City to 6 miles west of
Franklin to 20 miles east of Hayesville to 10 miles northwest of
Clayton to 10 miles southeast of Hiawassee, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Clayton, Bryson City, Highlands, Mountain City, Tiger,
Dillard, Sky Valley, Tallulah Falls and Lake Burton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned
area. Seek shelter inside an interior room.

These storms are producing frequent and intense lightning. Turn off
electrical appliances. Do not use corded telephones. Do not take a
bath or shower.
