Senior Promotion Producer

Position: Senior Promotion Producer

Department: Promotion/Creative Services

Reports To: Creative Services Director

Group/Location: Broadcasting/WHNS/Greenville

Position Summary: Candidate will write, produce, shoot, direct and edit station image and sweeps promotional spots for air, internet and mobile platforms. Assist in topical news promo production as needed. Plan and execute outside promotional events for the station. Collaborate with news and sales department on the production of station promos and PSA’s. Create radio and print advertising, assist in preparation of station log, and other station projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: All must be met to be considered.

Education: College degree in communications or journalism preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience: At least two (2) years in television promotion, production or news department.

Specific Knowledge: Must have thorough knowledge of promotion, branding, non-linear editing and be an excellent writer. Knowledge of videography shooting. Knowledge of website design and creation a big plus.

Skills And Abilities: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to assist and/or organize station functions and attend meetings with external customers. Must be able to work well under pressure.
