Deputies need public’s help after man found shot to death lying in road

ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after deputies found a man shot to death on May 26, 2022.

The Sheriff’s Office said they were called to Keys Street for a possible shooting at around 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found a man with at least one gunshot wound lying in the road dead.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 50-year-old Leo Aleman Hipolito.

The coroner says Hipolito was apparently riding a bike on Keys Street when he was shot in the head and died at the scene.

Unfortunately, the coroner has not been able to identify his next of kin.

On June 25, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office shared a picture of Hipolito and again asked for any information regarding this incident.
