Man dies after trash truck overturns in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Anderson County Coroner’s Office announced that one person died on Thursday afternoon after a truck overturned along Roberts Church Road in Anderson, SC.

South Carolina Highway Patrol said the collision was reported shortly before 2 p.m. on Roberts Church Road near Mattison Road.

According to the Coroner’s Office, the investigation indicates that the victim was riding in the passenger seat of a trash truck that was towing a back-hoe when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver reportedly went off the right side of the road, back across the road and overturned off the left side of the road. Officials said the victim was partially ejected from the vehicle and trapped underneath.

Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 60-year-old Dennis Maxwell Beeman Sr. from Piedmont.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing by the Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
