Most of us are waking up Monday to temperatures in the mid 40s to the mid 50s. A few spotty showers become more numerous into Monday morning. Scattered showers continue on and off into the afternoon, evening and early night. It’s also breezy with winds gusting upwards 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts in the higher elevations. While the wedge tries to hold on Monday, everyone should make it to the 60s in the mountains and the 70s in the Upstate with the cooler air to our east.

Rain chances ramp backup Wednesday night with a stretch of wet weather through Friday night. First Alert Days on Thursday and Friday as we are keeping an eye on the potential for heavy rain both Thursday and Friday with thunderstorms likely on Friday afternoon. The set-up looks favorable for severe weather on Friday so we are watching it closely and will fine tune the potential threats as we get closers but for now we cannot rule out tornadoes and damaging straight-line winds. Stay tuned to the First Alert Weather Team this week for the latest details.
