Police describe car involved in shooting that injured teen in Anderson
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Anderson Police Department is investigating after a teen was injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon.
According to a report, police responded to an apartment on Railroad Street around 3 p.m. after receiving a call that a teen was shot. Officers found the 15-year-old sitting on a couch alert and able to carry a conversation with officials.
Officers said the teen was taken to AnMed Hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.
The report said the teen said he saw a black or green Honda with peeling paint and tinted windows drive by slowly, circle back and start shooting at the teen and his friends. The victim said he did know who shot him and could not provide any other details about the shooter.
One witness told police the passenger in the Honda had dreads.
Anderson’s Police Chief said he does not know what led up to the shooting at this time.
