Coroner responds to crash on I-85

ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Anderson County Coroner’s Office is responding to a crash on I-85 Sunday afternoon.

The Coroner said the crash happened near mile marker nine and 10 after a vehicle crashed into a guardrail.

The Coroner’s Office says the victim died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, resulting in the vehicle wrecking.

Officials say the victim was travelling north on I-85 when the shot was inflicted.

The Coroner’s Office says there is no indication of foul play and the case has been ruled a suicide.

Officials say the decedent’s name will not be released in accordance with policy.
