Spartanburg Police investigate homicide after victim found in home
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Spartanburg Police say they’re investigating after a gunshot victim was found lying on the floor of a home on Sunday.
According to Spartanburg County dispatch, officers were called to 399 Winsmith Avenue at 11:29 a.m. in reference to a shooting.
When they arrived - officers say they found the victim lying on the living room floor with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 60-year-old Benjamin Means.
Police say witnesses informed them that several male suspects were seen running away from the area immediately after the shooting.
Officers say they’re looking for multiple suspects (possibly three males).
