GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) On Tuesday, the accused killer of a Greenville County woman went before a judge and was denied bond.
It was on Monday that the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said they had made an arrest in connection to the shooting death of a woman who was found dead in a car outside an apartment complex.
According to deputies, they responded to Augusta Hills Apartments around 11:40 a.m. in regards to a possible gunshot victim found inside a vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies located a female inside the car. She was pronounced deceased on scene.
Later Monday evening, deputies announced they arrested 27-year-old Ebony Arabia Pepper in connection to the shooting death.
Pepper has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies say the shooting was a result of a domestic dispute.
The coroner later identified the victim as 25-year-old Erin Shaquile Henry.
Pepper was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center and went before a judge Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. The judge denied her bond.
After the hearing, members of Henry's family spoke with the media and expressed how much pain their family was going through right now. When asked why it was important for them to be there today, Henry's cousin Tevin Smith-Hall said, "Because I love her. Erin bothered no one...bothered no one. Erin was a good person. " He went on to add, "Our family has questions, we need answers, we're trying to figure it out. This is hard."
