The Anderson County Coroner's Office said a 37-year-old man has died after being shot multiple times Tuesday evening.
Deputy Coroner Don McCown said the shooting happened along Stanmoore Drive.
Roger Andre Anderson sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital. McCown said Anderson died in surgery a little after 8 p.m.
The death was deemed a homicide but McCown said the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic incident.
Coroner Greg Shore said Anderson was an ex-boyfriend of a woman who lived at the home and her son shot him when he tried to get in the house through a garage door.
Neighbors living across the street said three bullets struck their home. They were not home at the time.
The sheriff's office is investigating and Sheriff Chad McBride said Wednesday that evidence was still being collected. McBride said his agency has met with the solicitor regarding the case.
