23-year-old Parker Moore had his whole life ahead of him. He loved soccer, collecting unique items and his family. According to his father Andy Moore, he also loved his job as a burrito maker at the Barberitos in Warner Robins, Georgia where he lived with his mother.
"He was doing really good! He put a lot of passion in his job. He was a very good employee,” said Moore.
Andy says Parker was just about to start a new job in customer service in Warner Robins; a job he never got to start. According to Warner Robins Police, Parker Moore was killed late Sunday during an armed robbery at Barberitos.
"Just disbelief, didn't seem real,” described Moore, “It just couldn't be."
Parker was one of three employees at the store during the robbery. The suspect shot another employee in the head, but that person is recovering at the hospital. Moore says a light in the world went out the night his son was killed.
"Parker was my first born,” said Moore, “He was my light. He was my rock. From day one I called him my little buddy.”
Warner Robins Police have not formally charged anyone in Moore’s death as of Wednesday evening. Investigators have charged Daniel Bruce Franz II in connection with a homicide that happened in the area earlier in the month. Investigators have not ruled out that Franz was involved in the armed robbery that claimed Parker Moore’s life.
Andy Moore and his family will try and move forward. They say they’re putting their faith in God to do so.
"I know Parker believed in God,” said Moore, “I have no worries where he's at right now, but do I wish he was here? Of course I do."
