DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina)- The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office confirms that one person died after a wreck on Saturday in the Duncan area. 

According to a release from the coroner, the incident happened near Hwy. 29 at the intersection of Pine Ridge Rd. 

The Tyger River Fire Department also responded to the wreck, according to a post on the fire department's Facebook page. 

The victim was identified as Lizette Soto Diaz, 20, of Greer. The coroner confirmed that Diaz died at the hospital

A bond hearing was held on Monday for the suspect charged in connection to the wreck. According to booking information, the suspect was identified as Jackson James Smith, 17, of Greenville. 

According to the judge present at the hearing, Smith could face up to 25 years in jail along with a $25,000 fine. 

During the bond hearing, Solicitor Barry Barnette stated that Smith's Blood Alcohol Content was recorded at .184 after the wreck. 

Smith was granted a surety bond of $40,000 dollars on multiple conditions, including a GPS monitor and house arrest. Smith is also not allowed to drive or operate a vehicle.

Smith's next court appearance is set for November 10.
