WILLIAMSTON, SC (FOX Carolina)- The Anderson County Coroner's Office identified the man that died in a fatal collision on Pelzer Highway on Sunday morning.

Deputy Coroner Josh Shore identified the victim as 23-year-old Deandre Nathaniel Mansell from Clemson, SC. He adds that the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene due to traumatic injuries secondary to blunt force trauma.

Alcohol and speed seem to be contributing factors to the crash according to Shore.

Pelzer EMS, the Anderson County Fire Department and SCHP also responded to the scene.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol released information concerning the crash this morning.

SCHP says that the incident occurred at around 4:01 a.m. when a 2014 Dodge pickup truck was travelling west along Pelzer Highway and ran off of the left side of the road and struck a guardrail.

Troopers say that the vehicle then ran off of the right side of the road and struck a tree.

According to Highway Patrol, the victim was not seat belted and was ejected from the vehicle.
