A Pickens man whose trial for a criminal sexual conduct with minor charge was set to begin on Tuesday, was found dead in his residence, the coroner confirms.

Jeremy Keith Kitchens was found dead in his camper in Pickens County on Tuesday.

The coroner said there is no evidence of foul play at this time. There was no forced entry to the camper and no visual trauma.

An autopsy is being performed to determine his cause of death.

Deputies say Kitchens engaged in unlawful sexual battery with a minor child multiple times dating back to March 2014. He was charged in May 2015 and held in the Pickens County Detention Center.
