The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says two people have been arrested after an early morning burglary on Friday.

Deputies said they were called to a residence on Marina Road in Anderson around 8:50 Friday morning in reference to a burglary.

According to deputies, the homeowner was unable to enter the residence because the front door was barricaded and she could hear noises inside.

Deputies said they witnessed a male and female suspect fleeing from the area.

The suspects were detained and arrested after further investigation.

The sheriff's office said William Brad Goodwin, 37, of Belton and Sharlie Wentzky Mcgill, 43, of Anderson were arrested and charged with burglary second degree.

Both Goodwin and Mcgill are currently being held in the Anderson County Detention Center.
