Deputies say warrants have been signed for two individuals after a pizza delivery worker was robbed and wounded during an armed robbery in Spartanburg County.

One teen has been charged and another individual is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident, said official with Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to the 1600 block of Fernwood-Glendale Rd in Spartanburg County around 10 p.m. Saturday to investigate a shooting.

The victim, a pizza delivery worker, had been robbed at gunpoint and shot twice, deputies said. Warrants said the suspect took food and money from the victim while armed with a small handgun, shooting the victim twice.

Deputies said after several people came forward with information about a potential suspect, warrants were signed on 17-year-old Jarvis Maliek Jones.

A second suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Michael Helon Thompson Jr.

Jones and Thompson have both been charged with armed robbery, attempted murder, first degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

They were arrested on Monday and are currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

Bond was denied for both suspects.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Sgt. J.W. Guffey at (864) 503-4670.
