Greenville County deputies said four people have been charged with murder after a man was shot and killed in an apartment on Rasor Drive on December 31, 2017.

Deputies said they were called to the apartment around 8 p.m. and found the victim, who the coroner later identified as Jermaine Douglas Bruster, 39, on the floor of his home with a gunshot wound to the chest. Bruster was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday, deputies said they learned that four suspects went to the victim's apartment with the intent to rob him. At least one of them then entered the home and shot Bruster. Afterward, the suspects fled with less than $100 worth of change from inside a container.

"Working with a tip from the public, investigators were able to tie the suspects to the murder and all of which have since been arrested," Sgt. Ryan Flood stated in a news release.

The suspects are 26 year-old Keyla Conyetta Mansell, 24 year-old Robert Lee Belcher III, 23 year-old Kirk Patrick Porter Jr., and 26 year-old Raymond Martinez Jr.

Flood said three of the suspects, Martinez, Mansell, and Porter, were already in the Greenville County Detention Center on charges stemming from a Jan. 14 shooting Crestwood Forest Drive. A man was also shot in that case.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspects arranged to purchase a cell phone from the victim. Porter Jr. approached the victim at the arranged location, grabbed the phone from the victim's hand and shot him multiple times, deputies said. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim in the Crestwood Forest Drive incident survived.

All four suspects are charged with murder in connection with the death of Bruster, armed robbery, burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, criminal conspiracy, and petit larceny.

Deputies said 29-year-old Candice Latrese Holsey was charged with possession of stolen goods after the phone taken during the robbery was found in her possession. There is no evidence that Holsey was at the scene of the shooting.

Martinez, Mansell, Porter, and Belcher are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
