Deputies investigating after they say several men in white car fire shots into Upstate home, shooting 2

Greenwood County Deputies are looking for leads after they say two people were shot while inside of their residence Monday evening.

Deputies say, the call came in at about 5:50 p.m. on the 1200 block of West Alexander Road. They said the caller said someone had been shot.

When deputies arrived on scene they interviewed witnesses who said a group of males stopped a white car in front of the residence, exited the vehicle and began shooting at the home. The make and model of the car are unknown.

As a result, two males inside the home were shot, deputies confirmed. Both victims were transported to the hospital. One of the victims received a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was treated and released. The other victim was shot in the back. He is in critical, but stable condition, deputies say.

Deputies say there were several weapons used. They located several casings from different caliber weapons in the roadway.

The investigation is in its early stages.
