The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said a man has been arrested after he attempted to rob pizza delivery driver at gunpoint.

Deputies said they responded to Charna Street in reference to a robbery around 1:20 a.m.Thursday morning.

According to deputies, when the driver arrived at the residence, four males approached him and demanded the pizza and his money. One of the men was armed with a handgun, deputies said.

The sheriff's office said the suspects then fled the scene on foot without completing the robbery.

A deputy canvassing the area stopped on of the suspects and discovered the suspect had active warrants, the sheriff's office said. According to deputies, the victim was able to identify the man as the suspect who had the gun from a photo line up.

The suspect denied involvement in the incident and provided an alibi, but it was later proved to be false, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies identified the suspect as 26-year-old Dennis Keo Bun of Spartanburg. Deputies said Bun was charged with attempted armed robbery, pointing and presenting a firearm and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to the sheriff's office, the two active warrants against Bun at the time of the incident were bench warrants for shoplifting and pointing and presenting a fire arm for a separate incident that occurred earlier this month.

Bun is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
