Deputies need public's help in finding escapee

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in locating a home detention escapee.

Deputies said it was detected that the equipment of Joshua Darius Hightower, 27, was not working. Deputies said when they arrived at his home at 425 Cotton Dr. his mother said he had left due to an argument between the two.

Deputies said they spoke with Hightower by phone after he left. Hightower said he would turn himself in but has since ceased contact with deputies.

Anyone with information is urged to call the main number for the Home Detention Program at 864-562-4064 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Information leading to Hightower's location may result in a cash reward.
