Saturday morning around 3:00 a.m. deputies responded to a call about a break in at Camo, Ammo, and Guns on Whitney Road in Spartanburg.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's office tells us when the first deputy arrived, he observed the glass to the front door broken out and the door slightly open. Deputies said a relative of the owner was taking cover behind his vehicle with his weapon drawn aimed at the front of the business.

The man immediately identified himself to the deputy and told the deputy that the front door was the only entrance to the building, and that he had not seen anyone enter or exit the building since his arrival.

The sheriff's office said a second deputy arrived on scene, and they attempted to call out to anyone in the business to exit using the vehicle's loud speaker, but no one came out.

Once a third deputy arrived on scene the deputies say they entered the building to begin clearing it. No one was found inside, but they called an investigative team to the scene.

Once the owner entered the business he said it appeared that some ammunition and pepper spray was stolen at first glance but would have to do an inventory after the investigation team cleared the scene.

The case is still under investigation.
