A Seneca man was arrested on Monday after a long undercover narcotics investigation, per the Seneca Police Department.

For several weeks, officers say the Narcotics Unit has conducted an undercover operation targeting the sale of heroin stemming from a South Carolina residence. They then issued a search warrant at 410 W.S 4th St. Apt. 307 in hopes to end this narcotics investigation.

Following the search warrant, 31-year-old Timothy Joshua Evans was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for distribution of heroin. Per the warrant, Evans distributed drugs to an undercover officer.

More charges are to follow against Evans due to the result of the search warrant findings. Officers said, marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia were located and seized in his apartment.

The investigation is not over yet, as another suspect located at the residence was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
