Spartanburg County deputies said a 17-year-old girl was charged after bringing a knife to school.
According to an arrest warrant Briajha Smith was arrested on Tuesday after the incident unfolded at Dorman High School.
The sheriff’s office said the School Resource Officer was called to a classroom disturbance involving Smith and two others.
The deputy arrived to find Smith yelling and screaming and the deputy learned that one of the other students had taken a knife away from Smith, according to an incident report.
Deputies said Smith admitted to bringing the knife to school and was planning to stab the other girls, per the incident report.
Smith was charged with disturbing school and ticketed for possession of a weapon on school property.
