Deputies said three teens involved in a home invasion that resulted in another teen's death have been charged.

Deputies began investigating after one suspect was found dead in a ditch along Church Street near Hudson Street in the Cherrydale area was involved in a home invasion leading up to his death.

The body of 17-year-old Tamyah Malichi Harris of Cody Street was found around 3 a.m. on Jan 31.

His cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the chest. Harris' death has been ruled a homicide.

After an investigation, deputies said they determined Harris and four other suspects were involved in a home invasion on Burdine Road in Greenville. Deputies said Harris, who was armed when he forced entry into the home, was shot by an occupant inside.

The suspects fled and deputies said Harris' body was found a short time later.

Deputies arrested 18-year-old Damoni Ahmir Barker and 18-year-old Daniel Dennie in connection with the home invasion.

On February 6, deputies announced that a third teen, Jatwain Marquise Sanders, 17, had been charged with burglary first degree, criminal conspiracy, and attempted armed robbery.

The remaining suspect involved in the home invasion have not yet been identified.

Barker and Dennie are currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
