The FBI confirmed Tuesday that agents were back on an Anderson County street conducting further investigation after a search warrant was executed and an arrest made over the weekend.

Anderson County deputies and FBI agents lined Travis Road near Little Mountain Road as investigators searched the property early Saturday morning into the afternoon. The roadway was blocked off to drivers.

An FBI agent on scene said a federal search warrant was being executed to a resident on Travis Road. The official said everything is sealed and that they were not able to release any further details. Deputies also confirmed they were on scene pertaining to an ongoing investigation but would not go into detail.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, officials confirmed an arrest had been made but would not disclose the charges on the individual. However, they did say the charges would be federal charges.

Wesley Ayers, a man with ties to Travis Road, was taken into FBI custody Saturday on a federal weapons charge. The affidavit for Ayers' arrest is sealed, so information is limited on the circumstances leading up to his arrest.

On Tuesday, an FBI spokesperson confirmed agents were conducting further investigation on Travis Road.
