Firefighters from multiple departments battled a blaze at Big Belly Burgers in Inman Wednesday morning.

The restaurant is located on SC 292 near the lake.

Multiple tanker trucks responded to the scene.

Firefighters said the blaze broke out inside the restaurant.

Rick Sain, owner of Big Belly Burgers, said the fire appears to have started in the kitchen sometime after they closed Tuesday.

He said the kitchen suffered considerable damage from the fire, but the dining area mostly suffered smoke damage.

Firefighters also accessed the adjoining business, Lake Bowen Country Club bar, and said the fire did not cause much damage there.

No other details were immediately available.
