Incident report: Union man shot in apparent drive-by

The Greenwood Police Department said an investigation is underway after a man was shot outside of his home Wednesday night.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting at Grier Street and Holloway Avenue around 11:00 p.m.

The victim was taken to Self Regional Healthcare Center and is currently in stable condition, police said.

Officers said they do not believe the incident was random.

Anyone who was in the area of Matthews Mill Village Wednesday night and may have information about the shooting is asked to contact Greenwood County Dispatch at 911.
