A high school in Haywood County was evacuated Wednesday due to a bomb threat found in a girls restroom.

Tuscola High School officials said the "sparsely worded bomb threat" was found around 9:40 a.m. and law enforcement officials were called to search the campus.

The school was later deemed safe and just before noon, administrators were working to have students return to the high school's campus.

“We are pleased that this incident ended without any injuries or damage to property," said interim superintendent Dr. Bill Nolte. "We deeply appreciate the quick response from Mr. Collins and his staff, central office staff and members of the law enforcement community.”
