One person is dead after an accident in Anderson County on Wednesday.
Highway Patrol tells FOX Carolina a person driving a Chevy Tahoe was heading south on Holiday Dam Road when the driver of a Nissan Altima heading north crossed the center line.
The collision was head-on, and resulted in the death of the only passenger in the Tahoe, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt. The victim was identified as Kala Denise Fletcher, 35, of Honea Path.
The Anderson County Coroner says Fletcher's official cause of death has been listed as blunt force trauma as a result of the accident.
All four people in the Altima were juveniles, including one passenger troopers have not identified yet. Troopers confirm a total of five patients are in area hospitals: the four juveniles in the Altima and the driver of the Tahoe.
Some of those hospitalized have been described as "critically injured" by the coroner.
The driver of the Nissan, a 16-year-old, has been charged with left of center.
The crash remains under investigation.
