J.L. Mann girls soccer team secures 5A state title victory (FOX Carolina/ 5/12/18)

The J.L. Mann Patriots girls soccer team made their sixth consecutive appearance in the state finals, going up against Lexington on Saturday.

The Patriots were down 1-0, but 9 seconds into the second half, Mann's Erica Manfre scored a goal, tying the game 1-1.

Caroline Conti scored at the 43 minute mark, giving the Patriots their first lead of the game.

The team went on to win their 5A state title, beating Lexington 3-2. It was their third state title in just 6 years.
